Splash screen fades to black and the logo appears on the monitor in front of you.
I need to introduce myself.
It’s not required, but something about starting a new project like this—yet again—seems unfinished if I don’t sit down and explain why I’m here and what I hope to accomplish.
My plan is to post here every weekday, so I’ve given this first week to soothing some of that introductory energy and just lean right into the struggle: my first week is all introduction posts.
So, that awkwardness aside: logos up.
My name is Brad and I have been your neighbourhood technology friend for damn near my whole life. I’m the guy. You know, like, hey Brad my wifi is having a problem. Hey Brad, how do I convert this file. Or hey Brad, I got this email that says I need to send eight hundred bucks in bitcoin to this address or I’m gonna regret it… what should I do?
I am the nerd that you probably know, and I have thoughts about technology.
Surprise.
My go-to outlet for such thoughts has long been writing.
In 2026, yeah, I know: I should be making a reel or boosting my podcast or partnering with some brand to tell you about what great VPN you should sign up for this week, but honestly—for me it’s always been about the words.
So, this is a blog, yeah a blog, about that—kinda.
It’s about the human part of the technology equation we’ve all slowly been immersed into as we poets—the dreamers, the thinkers and the creatives—fend off a world that can bootstrap processing power into our own replacements.
Press start to continue.
