I was recently cleaning out my basement and came across a cardboard box with some of my old junk from elementary school: grade four homework assignments, precisely. I was in a extra-curricular writing program, where we wrote little creative fiction stories and turned them into coil bound books that other kids could borrow from the library. A couple of my “books” were in that box.
They were terrible (obviously, I suppose) and yet despite my lack of innate skill in grade school for some reason I’ve continued to write for the last forty-some years.
I write nearly every day.
I write novels.
I write short stories.
I write essays.
I write journals.
I write.
So here I am thinking about tech and AI and my humanity in the blur of it all and I figured I may as well write something about that, too.
I’m no stranger to the blog. In April of this year, 2026, I passed the twenty-five year anniversary of my first blog post. And while I’ve never aimed to make money or build my career around this hobby, I have always posted with the intention of informing or educating my readers.
This project is no different, and maybe even a little more focused than most I’ve taken on.
For as long as the energy level holds: here we go. Stay tuned.
