I’ve given myself a quintet of weekdays to write some introductory posts before I jump into the meat of the the things I actually want to write about on this site.
Navel gazing in the idea-killer, so one may as well embrace it for a few days and get it out of one’s system so that the proper work can be done.
This is a blog about technology.
Oh great, another one—you say.
But I won’t be reviewing tech or offering advice on the latest gear, no.
I want to write about the clash of our humanity with technology. It’s a fuzzy line we’ve crossed here, from tools that defined us as human beings and allow us freedom and luxury beyond any other critter that evolved upon this blue-green orb… to machines that replace who we are in body, mind and spirit.
Yeah. I’m mostly leaning into artificial intelligence here. Generative chatbot algorithms and slop-gushing software that slogs ever forward in a relentless march to replace us—or something. That’s what I want to think and write about.
My goal is simple: keep it simple. Ideas posted in the form of a weekday blog, Monday through Friday, in chunks roughly (but not fixed at) two hundred words long.
Maybe I’ll post about gadgets I’ve been playing with.
Maybe I’ll ramble on about something I saw in the news.
Maybe I’ll get philosophical about creativity and tech.
But this week, I’m just writing about blogging—one hundred percent human-made blogging.
Stay tuned.
